2018 James Harrod The Battle For Kentucky

"James Harrod The Battle for Kentucky"

Cancelled This Year!

Highlights from the 2012 Season

The Old Fort Harrod State Park and Ragged Edge Community Theater proudly present "James Harrod The Battle for Kentucky" for twelve nights in July 2017 at 8:30 pm nightly.

"Battle" was written by our own Lisa Goodrich and Allan Barlow along with David Coleman and Tagan Citty Cox.

This is the exciting and important story about the attempt by Richard Henderson and the Transylvania Company to steal the land claims of James Harrod and his company by claiming to have purchased the same land from the Cherokee Nation.

Virginia eventually voided the purchase restoring Harrod and the other settlers' claims but the path to victory was not easy. Come see the "Battle" that determined the fate of Kentucky!

We have purchased more black powder rifles to increase the boom and smoke. There will also be more Natives, more fire, and more action than ever before!

You don't want to miss this! Good family entertainment in the open air. Refreshments will be served at the Concession Stand.

Bring your family and have fun while you learn a little about the history of Fort Harrod and Harrods Town.

Admission: $10.00
